Day 1-2: A Natural Wonder | 2 Nights

VICTORIA FALLS, ZIMBABWE Hello and welcome to Zimbabwe! When you arrive at Victoria Falls International Airport, a driver will meet you and transport you to the tropical grounds of Bayete Lodge. You'll have the afternoon and a whole day to explore and enjoy Africa's Adventure Capital if you stay for two nights. Settle into your comfy hotel before walking out to a local restaurant for lunch. We recommend The Lookout Café, which offers panoramic views of the Batoka Gorge and the thundering rapids below. Whatever you decide to do with your stay, make sure to include a tour of the Falls. Take a scenic helicopter or microlight flight for a bird's-eye view to obtain a distinct viewpoint. There is also bungee jumping, zip line, and white-water rafting on some grade five rapids, depending on water levels. To take in the majesty of Victoria Falls at a leisurely pace, take a sunset river boat down the Zambezi. Visit a local artisan market for a keepsake from a local maker, and then stop by the Victoria Falls Hotel for a traditional high tea. Victoria Falls provides something for everyone, whether you're an adrenaline junkie or want a more relaxed approach.

Day 3-5: Big Herds in Hwange | 3 Nights

HWANGE NATIONAL PARK, ZIMBABWE Before your vehicle transport back to Victoria Falls Airport, fuel yourself for the start of your safari with a hearty breakfast in Bayete. Camp Hwange in Hwange National Park is reached after a short flight across rural Zimbabwe. The largest and best-known of Zimbabwe's national parks, having a population of 30 000 elephants. Because Camp Hwange is located in a private concession, you can enjoy flexibility and solitude while on safari. Take night drives to learn about the amazing nocturnal lives of African animals. Your guide may track animals off-road for more rewarding encounters, and you can participate in guided treks across the reserve. To top it all off, Zimbabwe features some of Africa's most dedicated and competent safari guides. This, paired with the abundance of animals in Hwange, will assure an unforgettable encounter. A typical safari day begins with a hot cup of fresh coffee and a snack before departing for the day. While out, you'll be served to a selection of breakfast goodies and another hot drink to keep you going until you return to camp for brunch. Afternoon tea is normally provided about 3 p.m., followed by your afternoon activities. This includes a variety of sweet and savoury snacks as well as your choice of cold beverage. After your night out, unwind with a drink around the campfire before a fantastic family-style meal.

Day 6-8: The Golden Child of the Zambezi Valley | 3 Nights

MANA POOLS NATIONAL PARK, ZIMBABWE Return to the airstrip after one more big breakfast in Hwange. Another light aircraft trip takes you north to Mana Pools National Park, the 'golden child' of the Zambezi Valley. You'll be staying in the rustic but rewarding John's Camp in this water-rich reserve. This classic tented camp is well situated for a genuinely rewarding safari, nestled under a vast canopy of trees and having fantastic views of the game-rich Zambezi floodplains. Settle into your spacious, fully equipped tent, which has solar lights and a toilet. Soon, it will be time to go on a game drive to explore the reserve and see some of the various species that thrive in Mana Pools. Aside from game drives, Mana Pools is Africa's only wild walking National Park. This implies that you can wander around the park. Walking safaris with your knowledgeable Zimbabwean guides promise to be interesting and educational. Aside from monitoring wildlife on foot, you may get up close and personal with the little marvels of the bushveld or learn how local flora is utilised medicinally. When you're not out exploring the park, the friendly personnel at camp will make sure you have a comfortable area to take in the scenery with a cool drink in hand.

Day 9-11: Discover Sparkling Lake Kariba | 3 Nights

MATUSADONA NATIONAL PARK, ZIMBABWE It's time to calm down and take in the beauty of Lake Kariba. This magnificent expanse of water crosses the Zimbabwean-Zambian border and is the world's largest artificial lake by volume. You fly from Mana Pools to Fothergill airstrip, where your guide will meet you and transport you to your next camp, Fothergill Island. This sanctuary blends rich culture, vivid history, and one-of-a-kind safari experiences. A lovely way to end your Zimbabwean adventure. Settle into your beautifully furnished apartment, which has been created to merge the inside with outdoor aspects of the surrounding environment, with bursts of colour to represent Zimbabwe's vibrant culture. Enjoy stunning views of the floodplain and lake beyond, and keep a watch out for passing herds of elephant, buffalo, or antelope. You may go on an armchair safari from the luxury of your expansive deck, private plunge pool, or cushioned loungers in your own sala. The picturesque setting of Fothergill Island on Lake Kariba makes it a great place to experience not just outstanding game watching but also some unconventional activities. Nature hikes, fly-fishing, archery, boating safaris, and quiet sunset boat excursions are among the safari activities available. After each day of exploration, you'll return to camp in the evenings to the welcoming faces of the staff.
