NAIROBI, KENYA Your guide will receive you at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transport you to Nairobi Tented Camp. Your game drive begins ten minutes after you exit the airport, as you approach Nairobi National Park, which is a stone's throw from a bustling metropolis yet is home to a diverse range of large game. Along the walk, you may glimpse giraffes, buffalo, and lions hiding in the shade. After arriving at the camp, you dine beneath the spreading branches of a shade tree before going into your canvas suite. In the late afternoon, you go on an afternoon game drive around the park, where you have a good chance of seeing a rare rhinoceros and have the unique opportunity to shoot African plains wildlife with the skyscrapers of Nairobi in the backdrop!

After breakfast, depart Nairobi Tented Camp for Wilson Airport, where a charter flight to Nanyuki airfield awaits. Your guide will meet you there and transport you into the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, where Porini Rhino Camp is located. This tiny resort is hidden in a remote valley overlooking a seasonal river and provides spectacular views of Mount Kenya in the distance. After settling into your accommodation, you make your way to the mess area for a delicious high tea before boarding your vehicle for the afternoon's game drive. The possibility of encountering herds of buffalo and elephants in the wonderful light of the early evening is richly rewarding, while finding lions dozing in the shade before their nightly hunt is a thrilling experience. You will also be able to tour Kenya's only chimp sanctuary. You get a sense of homecoming as you soak in the grandeur of the environment and all its associated odours of brush, soil, and dust. Antelope herds graze the plains, giraffe stand guard in the distance, while birds of prey soar through the skies above.

The final phase of your adventure will take you to the legendary Masai Mara. Porini Lion Camp will be your home for two nights.
