Days 4 - 6: Elephants & Volcanoes in Ngorongoro | 3 Nights

NGORONGORO CRATER, TANZANIA Your final moments in Tarangire are spent enjoying a delicious breakfast before being whisked away to your next location. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a must-see attraction on every Tanzania itinerary. The region is famous for its vast herds of wildebeest and the Ngorongoro Crater, the world's biggest volcanic crater. The Highlands' few days will undoubtedly be the highlight of your journey. The award-winning camp's one-of-a-kind design, stylish décor, and cutting-edge facilities and services are almost as stunning as the natural splendour that surrounds it. Unfortunately, you won't get to see much of this architectural marvel because your days will be jam-packed with activities. Day-long game drives in search of lion, elephant, and giraffe; hikes to the top of the Olmoti volcano; visits to the local town; and treks to the dazzling Empakaai Crater Lake are among the exciting activities on offer during this stage of your journey.

Days 7 - 9: Explore the Serengeti | 3 Nights

SERENGETI, TANZANIA The renowned Serengeti is the final site on your Tanzanian wilderness adventure. You'll be capping off your journey in one of Africa's best safari sites. And, if you visit between January and March, you may be able to witness one of nature's most spectacular spectacles: the Wildebeest Migration. Dunia Camp is a small, movable camp that makes 'roughing it' in the African bush a delight. Here, you'll trek across the difficult terrain in pursuit of the area's abundant wildlife, which includes cheetahs, leopards, and elephants. You could even glimpse a lion poised atop the granite rocks of the adjacent Moru Kopjes, scouring the plains for their next meal. Of course, if you arrange your journey carefully, Dunia Camp is on the migratory path, giving you front-row seats to the yearly migration of wildebeest and zebra in pursuit of better pasture.
